A Burger King employee was shot dead in a parking lot in Orlando, Florida this Saturday evening. According to the authorities, the dissatisfaction of a customer of the drive, forced to wait for her order too long, would be at the origin of the tragedy.

A 37-year-old man has been arrested, reports The Associated Press . This is the client's boyfriend. The latter had complained about the slowness of the service, had got out of her vehicle screaming and had an argument with the employee, threatening to bring "her man". The 22-year-old employee reimbursed the client for the $ 40 she spent, says International Business Times .

But she returned soon after with her companion. A fight then pitted the young employee against the client's boyfriend. The latter took out a gun and fired at the server after telling him "You have two seconds before I shoot you." Seriously injured, the victim died in hospital.

The couple fled, but CCTV footage identified them. The shooter was taken into custody and charged with "first degree murder with a firearm", "destruction of evidence" and "possession of a firearm by a convicted criminal".
