A man has turned himself in to the Civil Guard in Hellín (Albacete) after the stabbing death of his father, 68 , in Murcia, and has been transferred at noon on Tuesday to police units in the Murcian capital, they have informed EFE police sources.
The suspect in the crime would be the nephew of the Regional Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas , as reported by the Opinion of Murcia.
The events occurred early in the morning at the portal of the building in which the victim lived, on Calle Infanta Cristina in Murcia , an area adjacent to Avenida Juan Carlos I, entrance to the capital.
According to the National Police, the wife of the deceased found the lifeless body of her husband and notified the emergency services, whose health personnel could only certify death.
The National Police deployed teams from the homicide unit and cordoned off the area in search of incriminating evidence while the judicial team traveled to the scene to proceed with the removal of the body and its subsequent transfer to the Institute of Legal Medicine to carry out the autopsy.
According to sources, the detainee turned himself in at the barracks of the aforementioned town in Albacete and will be made available to Murcian investigators.
