A man was the victim of an ambush, on the night of Monday to Tuesday, in Eybens, near Grenoble. This 27-year-old man, known to the courts, was shot dead. The driver of the vehicle was injured by shards of glass. According to the Dauphiné Libéré , a third man who was in the back of the car, managed to escape without being injured.

According to the first elements disclosed, the driver of the car would have been forced to stop "because of the presence of obstacles placed on the road blocking the passage", said the prosecution. A hooded man then appeared and fired "on the front passenger side with a shotgun-type weapon on the stopped vehicle", then with a handgun while the driver was reversing.

Already six shootings this summer

Eight impacts were observed on the vehicle, hunting cartridges and small caliber bullets were found at the scene. The shooter fled "at the wheel of a stolen vehicle which will be found burnt in the town of Grenoble", detailed Boris Duffau, the deputy public prosecutor.

An investigation for "murder", entrusted to the Research Section of the Grenoble gendarmerie, was opened by the Grenoble prosecutor's office. This is the sixth shooting in the agglomeration of Grenoble since the beginning of the summer. On Sunday, a 29-year-old man was shot dead in the street.
