The Chinese app Tiktok has ended up in international windy weather. India has already banned the popular video-sharing app, which has been accused of being a spy tool for the Chinese regime.
The app is also being reviewed by the EU and this weekend the US president said that it is opening up to ban Tiktok. At the same time, the IT giant Microsoft is stated to want to buy the American part of the app.
Andreas Utterström, communications consultant and US expert, believes that there are several legal ways to go about blocking Tiktok from, for example, the App Store, but that it is more difficult to completely ban it.
