The International Court of Sports Arbitration (Cass) has rejected the UAE Football Association's lawsuit against the Asian and Qatari federations of the game, regarding the participation of two players with Al-Annabi in the match against the Emirates in the Asian Nations 2019.

The two teams met on January 29, 2019 in the Golden Box of Asian Nations, where Al-Annabi won 4-4 before culminating in the championship that took place in the UAE after beating Japan in the final 3-1.

After the match, the Emirates Football Association lodged a protest in front of the AFC Discipline and Ethics Committee, saying that the participation of Bassam Al-Rawi and Al-Moez Ali with the Qatar national team contradicts the regulations of the Asian Nations Cup and the regulations of the International Federation for the game (FIFA).

However, after investigations, the AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Committee decided on April 15, 2019 to reject the case of the Emirates Football Association, which appealed to the Confederation Committee’s appeal committee, which in turn also rejected the suit on May 20, 2019.

The Emirates Football Association resorted to "Cass", which rejected the lawsuit and confirmed the legality of the duo's participation with the Annabi team.
