The UAE launched, through its humanitarian arm, the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, for the fifth consecutive year, the sacrifice distribution project in a number of Yemeni governorates, which benefited more than 14 thousand people in the governorates of Hadramawt, Shabwa and the western coast of Hodeidah and Taiz.

The authority has purchased 2250 sheep from the local market, slaughtered and distributed its meat to those who deserved it from poor and needy families, orphans and widows, in various directorates of Hadramout governorate, and the target is to reach 9000 beneficiaries. In the West Coast, the sacrifices were distributed to 2,100 people from the needy and needy families.

The distributions included the Al Alili camp, which has 1,200 families, in addition to the poor families in Al-Ahwash in the Al-Khokha coastal district in Hodeidah. In Shabwa, the sacrifices were distributed to 2,500 people, whereby the field team, affiliated with the authority, distributed the sacrifice meat to the needy and poorest families in the Mayfa'a District and the Radhum District. The beneficiary families expressed their thanks and appreciation to the UAE, leadership, government and people for this generous human gesture on Eid Al-Adha.
