382 days have passed since the last male major winner was crowned. Not since the Second World War has it been so long between major golf. Now Stenson and the others will take on the classic TPC Harding Park course in San Francisco.

- It can be a pretty tough ruff, definitely staying on the fairway is a good start. The course has a lot of lye on some greens if I remember correctly, so it is important to place the ball under holes as much as possible to give yourself the best birdie putts, says Henrik Stenson to SVT Sport.

Stenson has put a lot of work into his technical coach and it feels like he is on the right track in the long game. Before the competition starts on Thursday, he will play three nine-hole laps on the course and then it's mostly about the speed of the greens.

- A lot is about acclimatizing to the speed of the greens so that the speed is there when you start because there is nothing you can find during the journey but it should be there on Thursday when you start the race completely, says Henrik Stenson to SVT Sports.
