03 August 2020Maybe a robbery ended badly at the base of the murder of the ex-injured jeweler Luciano Amoretti, 76 years old, found lifeless in his apartment in Sanremo on the night of August 2.

Law enforcement officers coordinated by the Sanremo police station arrested two men, from Asti, on charges of killing him by slaughtering him and raging the victim with a final fatal blow.

Inspections and technical findings of the scientific police in the apartment in Corso Garibaldi where Amoretti was killed, the analysis of telephone traffic and videos of private and municipal cameras and the verification of all vehicles transited in the access roads to the city, led to two detentions in a very short time.

The two arrested are both from Nizza Monferrato (Asti). One of the two 63-year-olds allegedly confessed to the murder he made with his 50-year-old accomplice. In addition to the video surveillance system in the area where Amoretti's residence is located, the testimony of a neighbor is decisive for identifying the authors.

The material perpetrator of the crime "aware of the evidence now collected against him, has already acknowledged his responsibilities by providing indications that have allowed to recover the weapon used for the crime: in addition to the lethal beatings suffered by the victim - a bundle from bricklayer and two broken cell phones found near the Belbo river, in the stretch that crosses Nizza Monferrato.
