PRO in Dalarna is now engaging its 17,000 members in the county to develop proposals for improvements. The idea is to gather the elderly's own experiences of elderly care and then present proposals for improvements to the county's municipalities and to the Dalarna Region.
Göran Tägtström sees PRO's survey as a complement to the review of 1,000 activities in elderly care in the country initiated by the government and where very serious shortcomings were found in every tenth activity.
- That supervision is welcome but should have taken place earlier, he says.
