Official Iranian television reported that Iran is witnessing one death every seven minutes due to the emerging Corona virus, as the Ministry of Health announced 215 new deaths from (Covid-19) disease caused by the virus, and the media issued warnings against not maintaining the proper rules of social separation.

The television quoted a spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Larry, as saying that 215 people had died in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 17,405 cases. The number of confirmed cases increased to 2598 cases, to exceed the total of 312 thousand and 35 cases.

The television showed footage of Iranians on a crowded street without putting a muzzle or taking into account social estrangement.

A report by the Iranian Parliament Research Center pointed out that the numbers of official data for "Corona" may be similar to what the Ministry of Health declares, explaining that the official data are based only on the number of hospital deaths who have been examined and have a positive result.

The BBC reported, based on data from an unidentified source, that the number of deaths from the virus in Iran may be three times that of the declared one. Iran denied the report, and said that it does not practice any blackout.

With the rise of "Covid-19" cases since the easing of the general isolation measures in Iran in mid-April, the authorities said that measures to curb the outbreak will be imposed again if people do not adhere to the health guidelines. Gag placement has been mandatory in public and enclosed spaces since last month.
