The tone of the debate on how Swedish corona restrictions affect the cultural industry has been raised recently, and more and more critical voices are being raised against Minister of Culture and Sports Amanda Lind (MP).

One of those who raised his voice is the comedian and author Jonas Gardell, who in a column in Expressen demands the minister's resignation.

"Will not resign"

Amanda Lind now responds to the criticism and explains that she will not resign.

- No, I will not resign. But rather, I see my task and my responsibility as Minister of Culture and Sports as even more important than ever, says Amanda Lind to TT.

Gardell is one of several who question why the existing restrictions differ between different industries. Something both individual artists as well as organizations have been wondering about.

Criticism of ambiguity

The criticism of Amanda Lind has also been that she has not been able to give any clear message to the culture and entertainment industry about the future.

- The government will within the next few weeks provide information on what exactly applies to the restrictions for the public, Lind says.

- We will come back with it. I work for as clear a message as possible to the culture and sports, she continues.
