In addition, a Poseidon P-8A reconnaissance aircraft and four F-16 fighters, as well as a KC-135 Stratotanker tanker aircraft and an MQ-9 Reaper drone took part in the exercise.
As Vice Admiral Eugene Black, Commander of the Sixth Fleet, noted, the joint action with the US Air Force in Europe allowed "a realistic and timely exercise to enhance US readiness to operate at sea in the Black Sea region."
The exercises took place in international waters and airspace.
On July 27, the Sea Breeze 2020 exercise ended in the Black Sea, in which the military from the United States, Ukraine and a number of NATO member and partner countries participated.
