On Friday afternoon, the alarm came that a manure tank was leaking at a biogas plant in Sävsjö. Because the pressure was so great, they had to wait to repair the cistern and stop the leak. At 21 o'clock on Saturday, the leak was sealed by the rescue service. Just over two hours earlier, the intensive work of sealing had begun.

- We repaired the pipe valve that the mechanic had unscrewed and put everything together as it should be, says Martin Trofast, rescue leader at Höglandet's rescue association.

The cistern was 6,000 cubic meters but not everything leaked.

- We lost 48 percent of the total volume, so around 3000 cubic meters. We pumped 400 of them into another tank and 2600 cubic meters came out on the ground.

The emissions on the ground were addressed with the help of four trucks that went in shuttle traffic between the emissions and the farmers.

- All manure has gone back to the farmers. Nothing has been wasted and will be able to be used again, says Martin Trofast.
