Experts and supporters of the Democratic nominee for the upcoming US presidency, Joe Biden, have called for non-debate by incumbent President Donald Trump because of his "propaganda maneuvers" and "his contempt for the rules" during the 2016 elections, according to a report published by the American newspaper Newsweek.

Former White House press secretary Joe Lockhart has joined many experts within the Democratic Party to advise Biden in this regard.

Lockhart said - in a statement to the CNN channel yesterday that he addressed Biden - "Whatever happens, Trump does not debate," stressing that the current president should not be given "another platform that enables him to repeat the lies that occurred in the 2016 debates against Candidate Hillary Clinton.

"We saw during the 2016 debates how Hillary showed knowledge of all issues, every point she raised was more honest and superior to Trump ... but he got out of the debates and is in a better position because he continued to repeat the same old lies: we will build a wall and Mexico will pay for it ... we will expel all of these Mexicans are out of the country ... and we're going to make great business deals, but none of that has happened. "

"Giving Trump this national forum to continue broadcasting his lies ... is futile for Democrats and Biden," Lockhart asserts.

More debates

On the other hand, the Trump presidential campaign demanded the exact opposite, as the Presidential Debate Committee, a nonpartisan body that officially oversees the event, urged that more debates be organized.

While many American newspaper writers recently called for the complete abolition of these debates, describing them - alongside party conferences - as "outdated political rituals" designed only for television assessments.

Zac Petcanas, a former strategic strategist and former senior adviser to Hillary Clinton, has supported Biden's calls to undo any discussions or debates with President Trump in the coming months, as three and other presidential and vice presidential debates have so far been programmed between September 29 and October 22. October.

Petcanas tweeted last week, "Biden should not feel obligated to give Trump a lifeline by giving him any opportunity to debate ... This is not an ordinary presidential election and Trump is not a legitimate candidate," stressing that this is his personal opinion and that no one asked him to tweet what he said.

Speculation

Speculation last week of the prospect of canceling the Biden and Trump presidential debates increased after the University of Notre Dame refused to use its campus to host a debate on September 29 because of fears of an outbreak of the Corona virus.

The University of Michigan also apologized for hosting another debate on its campus last June, and it was rescheduled at another location in Miami.

The first US presidential debates will take place at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio on September 29, while the first debate for the two vice presidents will take place at the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City on Next October 7.

The second presidential debate will be held at the Arsht Center, Florida, on October 15th, with the third and final presidential debate to take place at the Belmont University campus in Tennessee on October 22.
