"The Iranian Foreign Ministry imposes sanctions against Richard Goldberg, a former adviser to John Bolton, associated with the Defense Fund for Democracy," the Iranian Foreign Ministry quoted TASS as saying.
The sanctions are imposed "in accordance with articles four and five of the law on combating human rights violations and terrorist acts."
At the end of June, Tehran issued an arrest warrant for US President Donald Trump and more than 30 others who, according to the Iranian authorities, are involved in the murder of Soleimani.
