A few years ago, Italian striker Shiro Imobili failed in his first professional experience outside the borders of Italy, and raised many criticisms with statements that insulted some of life in Germany, but during the past few years he made a name for himself until he crowned himself as king on the throne of scorers in Italy And Europe.

Imobili crowned top scorer for the Italian league this season, which ends on Sunday, and scored 36 goals with Lazio, becoming the most Italian player to score goals in one season.

Imobili also equaled the record number of goals scored by any player in the competition during one season, which was achieved by Argentine Gonzalo Higuain four years ago.

This was enough for Imobili to win the Golden Boot award for best scorer in the European continent, in the most remarkable achievement of the 30-year-old scorer's career.

Imobili was born in Torre Anunziata in Naples. The last goal of the Italian league player this season came against Napoli in particular, during the 3-1 defeat against Naples on Saturday in the last stage of the competition.

Lazio celebrated his brilliant attacker with the word "King" in golden letters on Instagram.

The player thanked the fans, teammates and his family, saying on his account on Instagram on Sunday, "I loved this sport since my childhood. My passion and my passion for football made me vent more and more and believe in my dreams."

The Italian media described this season of Imobelli as "historic" because football-loving Italy had to wait more than a decade for an Italian player to win the Golden Boot award.

Only two Italian players have won the prize in the past, Francesco Totti, the legend of Roma in the 2006-2007 season, and Luca Toni one season before with Fiorentina.

Years ago, Imobili's football career was about to march in another direction, far from achievements and titles, as the player failed to fulfill his expectations and hopes. Controversy arose over the reasons for this failure on his professional journey in Germany.

Imobili moved to Dortmund in mid-2014 for 18.5 million euros, and trained under the leadership of coach Juergen Klopp, but he did not rise with the team and did not adapt to the nature of Germany.

Amid his suffering in this professional experience, Imobili surprised everyone with a controversial statement during an interview with an Italian newspaper in early 2015, when he indicated that the Germans were cold.

Although Imobili later apologized for these statements, the player could not stabilize his feet in Germany, as he was seconded in the summer of 2015 to Seville, then Spain, to Turin, Italy, in early 2016.

In mid-2016, the player moved to Italy's Lazio to shine in the team until the present time, noting that his current contract with the team extends until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
