The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a 37-year-old German national as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of sexual assault and illegal detention. The agents were alerted that a woman could be held by her ex-partner in a Barcelona apartment, so they went to the home and found her along with her attacker. The victim explained that she had been held for three days after her ex-partner accessed the apartment and assaulted her .
The suspect allegedly raped her and broke her mobile phone so that she could not communicate with anyone. For three days he subjected her to a situation of panic to remain that prevented her from escaping from his side since at all times he maintained strict control over her.
The woman gained access to an order and sent a friend a message of help. This person notified the Mossos who came to free her and arrest her attacker. The emergency medical system treated the woman who did not require any hospital admission. The suspect was brought to justice this Friday.
