The Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority has identified five advantages for smart reservation of taxi and limousine vehicles through the "Karim" application, to give customers convenience and luxury, as the authority has enabled customers to know the driver's profile, location and contact details, and choose to pay in cash or by credit card or through the wallet of the application ( Karim), in addition to the GPS-guided trip feature for reliable mobility, the ability to evaluate the trip and the work of the driver, and collect bonus points on each trip from the “Hala” service and spend it on discounts, coupons and donations in need.

The general manager of the authority, Ismail Al Balushi, pointed out that the authority held at the beginning of this month an agreement to grant concessions to the companies "Karim" and "Hala" to provide smart reservation services for taxis and limousines, as a pilot phase in Ras Al Khaimah, provided that the full launch to cover all parts of the emirate by Next August.

He explained that smart reservation services for vehicles comes within the authority’s strategy in the digital and smart transformation of its services to keep pace with the transformation in the field of urban transport planning in terms of facilitating the movement of individuals and reducing dependence on private vehicles and the digital and smart transformation in services.

He added that smart and electronic reservation has become the most effective tool to align supply with demand, as it is an effective system to provide an easy experience for customers in obtaining taxis and limousine services and provides customers with a smarter way to move in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah by knowing in advance the tariff, tracking the flight path, and paying Either in cash or via a credit card, as customers benefit from the advantage of not increasing prices during peak times, in addition to enjoying the full services provided by the Karim application, including the Karim Customer Reward Program
