She said this in a video message posted on the account of the American division of TikTok on Twitter.
She thanked the “millions of Americans” who use the social network every day.
Pappas added that social networks are aware of the numerous support from US users.
“We are not planning to go anywhere ... We are here for a long time,” she said.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that he would ban the Chinese social network TikTok in the United States.
