All restrictions that have existed for four months have been removed. Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order on the opening of the Russian-Abkhaz border.

Later, the Prime Minister of Abkhazia, Alexander Ankvab, announced after an emergency meeting of the coordination headquarters to protect the population from coronavirus infection COVID-19 about the opening of the border with Russia.

The headquarters also announced that Russia will resume flights with Switzerland from August 15.

Since August 1, Russia has resumed flights with the UK, Turkey and Tanzania.
