01 August 2020 There are 1,442 coronavirus victims registered in the United States in the past 24 hours. The new balance sheet of Johns Hopkins University reports it. It is the fourth consecutive day that the pandemic deaths exceed 1,200. In total there are now 153,268 victims. With the additional 69 thousand cases of positivity recorded in 24 hours, the US has reached 4.5 million cases since the start of the pandemic.

The coronavirus alert remains high in Germany  where 955 new infections have been reported in the past 24 hours. According to data from the Robert Koch institute, the total number of Covid-19 cases in the country is 209,653. Seven people died from the virus yesterday, 9,148 in all. 

For the third consecutive day Francehas recorded over 1,300 new cases of coronavirus. A phenomenon that the French press has called "holiday effect". In the past 24 hours, 15 new outbreaks have also been identified for a total of 157 under observation across the country. The Guardian reports it. According to the French health authorities, 21% of these outbreaks were caused by the reunification of families for the holidays and by "public or private gatherings" such as weddings.
