In several places: coldest July since the 60s

An example of this year's extremes is Särna in northern Dalarna, where they had the warmest month of June since the measurements began in 1893. But July this year meant a cold record with the coldest July in Särna since 1965.

- Summer weather always changes, but as this year to go from extremely hot to extremely cold, it is still very unusual, says SVT's meteorologist Per Stenborg.
