Water was predicted to scatter on the islands for about twenty cents before the storm continued into the Atlantic and toward the Florida coast.

Isaiah was the first storm to ravage the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian, the worst of the fifth category, caused very severe damage to the islands after ruining them for three days last year.

“Isaias is forecast to be off the east coast of Florida as a first-class hurricane late today and tomorrow,” said Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Atlantic coastal counties in Florida have been declared a state of emergency because of the storm.
