Since Friday, the only vehicles authorized to circulate were those displaying an air quality certificate (Crit'Air sticker) of class "zero engine emissions", or of class 1, 2 or 3. A temporary reduction in speed of 20 km / h had also been introduced on the main roads where the authorized speed limit is normally greater than or equal to 90 km / h. The maximum speed on the axles limited in ordinary time to 80 km / h was reduced to 70 km / h.

The Rhône department remained on Saturday placed in heat wave vigilance by Météo-France, like twelve other departments.
