While Iraq considers the Zionist entity an occupied country and is prohibited from dealing with it, the Kurdistan Democratic Party - which runs the Kurdistan Regional Government - accused political parties of raising the issue of the relationship with Israel.

A high-level source in the Iraqi government told Al-Jazeera Net that the Federal Ministry of Oil filed a lawsuit in the year 2014 against the Ministry of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq for exporting oil produced in the region and Kirkuk without the approval of Baghdad and in violation of the constitution, and several sessions were held, but so far no decision has been issued .

He pointed out that the parties to the conflict are the prime minister and the oil and finance ministers from the Baghdad government, while the Kurdistan region of Iraq was represented by the prime minister and the minister of natural resources.
