At the end of May, the government announced that the upper secondary schools would open in the autumn. However, they have also said that it is the municipality's task to ensure that it does not become too crowded in the schools. Something that makes high school students worried.

- I understand that it is a difficult situation and that it is a corona pandemic. But high school students are not at risk and we are affected more than we should do, says Stina Axelsson.

"Can make changes"

According to Marie Wettermark, who is head of operations for the upper secondary schools in Jönköping municipality, it is currently planned for the students to be on site when the school starts in the autumn.

- We will review the schedule, if we can make any changes to spread the students at the school in a better way, she says but says that they may also need to have a combination with distance education.

Marie Wettermark tells SVT that the goal is to send out a clearer message to the students during week 32 about how the set-up will be.
