It has been six months of hard work and many and rapid changes have been made in healthcare. Mats Bojestig, who works as director of health and medical care in the Jönköping County region, remembers that not many people after the first case could have guessed what consequences the coronavirus would have in Sweden and in our county.

- We have not had this upscaling since the Spanish flu. There was a lot that needed to be changed and we changed care very intensively, says Mats Bojestig.

Today he believes that the situation is good. Today, only one patient is cared for in intensive care in the Jönköping County Region. It can be compared to the twenty that you have been up to before.

There is some concern about a second wave, but Mats Bojestig still sees a positive future.

- We have learned that you have to take the future as it comes and always be prepared. We go through this together and I think we can absolutely handle this, says Mats Bojestig.
