The document reiterates that an explosion was the cause of the plane crash. At the same time, the commission stated that TNT was loaded into the plane during repairs.

It is noted that traces of explosives were allegedly found in samples taken from parts that were changed by Russian technicians during the repair of aircraft 101 (Kaczynski's plane) and 102 (another Polish airliner) in 2009.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee of Russia told about the progress of the criminal investigation into the crash of Tu-154.

They stressed that Russian investigators had repeatedly assisted the competent authorities of Poland in conducting joint inspections of the wreckage of aircraft parts. In total, the department fulfilled more than 40 requests from the Polish side.

Kaczynski's plane crashed in 2010 while landing at Smolensk-Severny airport. 96 members of the Polish delegation were killed.

According to the IAC report, the direct reason was the decision of the crew not to leave for an alternate airfield, but systemic - shortcomings in flight support and crew training.

The UK stated that the Russian investigation had no doubts about the circumstances of the disaster: all the materials collected unconditionally testify to the erroneous actions of the crew, which continued the landing approach in the absence of visibility.
