This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the joint press service of city courts.

"The Primorsky District Court of St. Petersburg issued a decision on the selection of a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to Roman Koval," the statement says.

According to the press service of the courts, Koval did not admit his guilt. 

Earlier it was reported that the Investigative Committee opened a case against the deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Roman Koval, he is suspected of receiving a large bribe. His assistant Andrei Grishin was also detained.
