A fall, a rescue and the arrival of help. Late Thursday afternoon, a 5-year-old boy fell into a well 6 m deep in Thouaré-sur-Loire, about fifteen kilometers north-east of Nantes. His father jumped into the well to keep his child on the surface of the water, says Ouest-France .
Alerted, the firefighters were able to get the little boy and his daddy out of the well using a rope. Both were "exhausted" and were taken to the Nantes University Hospital as a precaution for "an additional assessment", according to the emergency services.
