The Ministry of Community Development celebrated the senior citizens at the state level with an initiative called "Anto Eidna", on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, and the initiative's activities included distributing holiday gifts to senior citizens in the centers of the happiness of senior citizens in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Bank Islamic.


Interactive electronic screens were also provided in the centers of the happiness of senior citizens, to enable senior citizens to communicate "remotely", to exchange congratulations and interact with others on the days of the holiday.
The initiative was launched at the Center for Happiness of Senior Citizens in Ajman, affiliated to the Ministry of Community Development, and the Center for Happiness of Senior Citizens in Dubai, affiliated to the Dubai Health Authority, and the Home for the Elderly in Sharjah, which is affiliated to the Department of Social Services in Sharjah, in the presence of representatives of the Ministry, the bank and the authorities concerned with senior citizens.


Alia Al Joker, Director of the Family Development Department at the Ministry of Community Development, said that the initiative reflects the UAE’s interest in senior citizens, as they are the basis of building and the pulse of giving, adding that it is the duty of society to return the favor to them by presenting various ideas, positions and initiatives.


She pointed out that the modest “Anto Eidna” initiative comes within the framework of implementing the support, development and attention plans that the UAE government and the Ministry of Community Development attach to senior citizens, and within efforts to improve the quality of their lives, and to ensure their active and continuous participation within the community fabric in the country, which is included in the national policy for senior citizens. , Which was based on 7 main axes: health care, community communication and active life, investment of energies and civic participation, quality of future life, infrastructure and transportation, financial stability, security and safety.


On her part, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank's Social Responsibility Council Chairman Maryam Al-Tamimi said that he is pleased at the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank to collaborate with the Ministry of Community Development in launching the “Anto Eidna” initiative to coincide with this blessed Eid Al-Adha holiday, and in the context of consolidating a culture of social responsibility as a fundamental value In the system of values ​​embedded in Emirati society, the transition from social care to the concept of social development on firm foundations, based on the goals of the national agenda for the vision of the Emirates.


Al-Tamimi stressed the happiness of the bank to implement the initiative that extends to the centers of the happiness of senior citizens in three emirates, with the aim of enabling this category to integrate into society and strengthening ties between members of society through permanent innovation in providing services according to the highest international standards in quality, efficiency and transparency, noting that Cooperation comes as a reinforcement of the series of efforts exerted by the bank in this field through visiting and supporting state institutions concerned with senior citizens.
