When the holiday slowly begins to suffer towards the end and when more people return to work and school again, congestion is expected to increase in public transport and thus also the risk of infection spreading.

- Even though we have a good situation now, there is a lot to suggest that it can change quickly during the autumn, says Anders Tegnell in Aktuellt.

The industry organizations in public transport are now developing a plan for how they will meet the autumn, and according to Anders Tegnell, it is, among other things, about driving buses and trains half full.

"Must be able to travel safely"

- We hope that together with trying to work at home as much as possible, it will enable those who really have to go to work to be able to do so in a safe and good way, he says.

But the traffic region council in Stockholm Kristoffer Tamsons (M) warns that the spring's congestion measures in public transport will not suffice during the autumn, and urges municipalities throughout Sweden to try to change school start times to ease the pressure. This is a proposal that Anders Tegnell also believes in.

- I think that with a good dialogue locally where you can spread school start and work start in large workplaces, there are great opportunities to get a good situation, he says.
