Since April, the helicopter flotilla in Kallinge has had the task of transporting patients who have fallen ill with covid-19. Previously, medical staff from western Götaland manned the helicopter, but since a week ago, the assignment has been on staff from Blekinge Hospital.
- We are well prepared for this. On the one hand, we have experience from previous collaboration with the Swedish Sea Rescue Service and on the other hand, a couple of us have flown a lot of helicopters in Australia, says Martin Löndahl, specialist in the anesthesia department at Blekinge Hospital.
