Algerian Jamal Belmadi, coach of the "Desert Warriors" team, believes that Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane deserves more respect.

"I appreciate Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp, but let us not forget Zidane, he is a capable coach," Belmadi said in an interview with the French newspaper L'Equipe.

"If Jose Mourinho or Guardiola won three consecutive Champions League titles they would be considered genius," he added.

He noted that "Zidane is a genius and revolutionizes the game, but we are talking about the thinking and philosophy of some coaches, although they did not win anything."

He concluded, "I no longer understand what is happening? What do we want? We judge people for achieving victories and titles or for their footballing idea and philosophy ... The masses want victories."

Zidane led the royal this season to the League title, the second of Zidane, after the first that he won in 2017.
