“An agreement has been reached with the Ukrainian side to intensify interaction between border agencies and strengthen the border regime to prevent destabilization of the situation in both countries,” the statement says.

Earlier it was reported that the Belarusian Foreign Ministry asked the Russian Ambassador to the country Dmitry Mezentsev for an explanation about the Russians detained on Belarusian territory.

On July 29, the state Belarusian news agency BelTA announced the arrest of 33 Russians in Belarus. Russian Ambassador to Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev commented on this information.
