In the United States, a freight train on the Union Pacific Railroad derailed on a bridge over Lake Tempe, Arizona, around 6 am on the 29th local time.

Shortly after the accident, a freight train carrying timbers was caught in a huge flame, and some sections of the bridge crashed down.

More than 90 firefighters were dispatched to fight the fire, and police controlled access near the scene of the accident.

Union Pacific Railway said some of the employees on the freight trains inhaled the smoke from the fire, but no one was seriously injured.
