Today, the Turkish parliament adopted a bill that broadens the control of the authorities on social networks, according to the Turkish "Anatolia" news agency, a controversial text that raises the concerns of defenders of freedom of expression.
This law compels especially the most prominent social networks such as "Twitter" and "Facebook" to have a representative in Turkey and obey the orders of Turkish courts that require the withdrawal of content under penalty of major financial fine.
