A man has been wounded by a firearm in the center of Granada after the police fired on him when he refused to give up the regulatory pistol that moments before he had seized from another agent.
As reported by the Police, the events occurred around 8:10 pm on Tuesday afternoon, when the agents proceeded to identify a foreign person who was in the vicinity of the Cathedral of Granada.
During identification, the man seized the weapon from one of the officers and threatened them with it.
According to the police, the man ignored the warnings to drop the gun , so it was "necessary to open fire" on him. The man has been transferred to the hospital, where he has undergone surgery. Officers who have been injured in the struggle have also been transferred to the center.
