According to the website of the State Supervision Commission of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, Li Jinzao, deputy secretary and deputy minister of the Party Group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision by the State Supervision Commission of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.

  Resume of Li Jinzao

  Li Jinzao, born in January 1958 in Xiantao, Hubei, joined the Party in February 1976 and started work in December 1978. He is a PhD student in economics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. From 1984 to 1986, he worked in the Finance Department of the Ministry of Finance. From October 1988 to August 1994, he worked in the State Planning Commission. Since August 1994, he has served as Vice Mayor of Guilin City (suspended from 1994 to 1996), member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, Executive Deputy Mayor, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, and Mayor. Since October 2001, he has served as member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. In November of the same year, he concurrently served as Secretary of the Guilin Municipal Party Committee and Mayor. In April 2003, he concurrently served as Director and Party Secretary of the Autonomous Region Development Planning Committee. In September, he served as Vice Chairman of the Autonomous Region Government. Director of the Bureau of International Expo Affairs and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group. In January 2008, he served as member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, deputy secretary of the Party group of the autonomous region government, and executive vice chairman. In October 2011, he served as Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Commerce and member of the Party Leadership Group. In October 2014, he served as Party Secretary and Director of the National Tourism Administration. In March 2018, he served as Deputy Secretary and Deputy Minister of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Delegates to the 16th, 17th, and 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, delegates to the Ninth, 10th, and 11th National People's Congress, and Standing Committee member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
