His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, yesterday visited the men of the "Civil Defense", who were injured during the extinguishing of a fire in a warehouse, to check on their health.
In a tweet on Twitter, His Highness praised the role of the "civil defense" men and their efforts for the sake of their country and society. He said: "The resolve and sacrifices of our heroes are appreciated, and a source of pride."
During his visit, His Highness ordered that all the medical needs of the injured be provided, and he was keen to listen to all details regarding their health conditions.
His Highness mourned, the day before yesterday, Sergeant Adel Nasser Saleh, a member of the "Civil Defense", who was martyred during his call to duty.
Sergeant Adel was martyred, and a number of his colleagues were injured in a crash, as a result of a fire that broke out, the day before yesterday, in two warehouses, "Sky Tour" in the Dubai Investment Zone.
The Executive Director of Rashid Hospital, Dr. Fahd Basilib, told «Emirates Today» that “His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed has followed the case of (civil defense) men since the accident occurred, and his visit had a great impact on the psychological state of the (civil defense) heroes and their families.” .
He added that «the injured (Civil Defense) were initially transferred to a private hospital, and an entire medical team moved from Rashid Hospital to examine them there, and was able to treat a number of them, their injuries were minor, while he had to transfer one critical case to Rashid Hospital, for what he enjoyed Of advanced capabilities ».
He continued: “Immediately after the arrival of the injured (civil defense) hero, a number of the best surgeons in various specialties began to perform several surgeries for him.” He added that “His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed emphasized the provision of all the necessary needs for his treatment, whether inside or outside the state.”
"His Highness's visit reflects the importance of the role played by the champions of the first ranks of the (Civil Defense) men," Basalib said, pointing to providing full care to the injured firefighter.
