FC Nantes (Ligue 1) announced Wednesday that five employees in its professional group had tested positive for Covid-19, after the first three cases, including a player, revealed last week. The club did not say if any players were among the new cases. Training will therefore be adapted in the coming days to prevent the virus from continuing to spread, while the preparation match scheduled against Charleroi (Belgian D1) on Saturday in Belgium has been canceled.

After the announcement of the first cases last week, the club had maintained its preparation match on Saturday against Anderlecht (0-0), but only a "small" group of people tested negative for Covid-19 had made the trip. "FC Nantes strictly applies the instructions of the health authorities and this, since the beginning of the health crisis", assured the club in a press release, specifying that the contact cases of positive people would remain in isolation in the coming days .
