The "Dignity Coalition" party in Tunisia announced the boycott of the session to consider the no-confidence list from Parliament Speaker Rashid Ghannouchi, and not to participate in or vote on it "to absolve their representatives of any suspicions."

The Tunisian parliament holds a secret session to vote on the no-confidence list from Ghannouchi on Thursday.

According to the constitution and the bylaws of Parliament, passing the bylaws requires the availability of an absolute majority of votes (109 out of a total of 217 representatives).

The coalition (19 seats in Parliament out of a total of 217) said in a statement issued yesterday, Tuesday, that the list "invokes the poor management of Rashid Ghannouchi by the council as a false and false reason. ).

Representatives of the Free Constitutional Party (16 seats) held a sit-in in Parliament for more than two weeks in July, deliberately preventing public hearings, and demanded a public meeting to withdraw confidence from Ghannouchi.

The president of the "Free Constitutional" Abeer Mousa has previously announced in previous statements that she opposes the 2011 revolution that overthrew the regime of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, and professes its continued hostility to the Renaissance movement.

The gains of the revolution

The coalition warned that "this list is only the beginning of the militarization of the symbols of the defunct regime of the coup against the gains of the revolution."

He continued in his statement that "the blocs that have become enthusiastic about this list in retaliation for the fall of the late prime minister on suspicions of corruption and blatant conflicts of interests (the government of Elias al-Fakhakh) are in fact serving the Ben Ali bloc and its fascist system."

The coalition called on the owners of the list and their partners to "be more courageous and clear, and to make clear to the Tunisians that they will vote for the list programmed (and prepared by) the Ben Ali bloc of Fascism since last January, that is, a month after the start of the mandate (parliament)."

On July 16, 4 parliamentary blocs announced in an official press conference the deposit of a list of no-confidence from Ghannouchi in the Parliamentary Control Office after they had fulfilled the required number of signatures, which is 73 signatures.
