The World Health Organization, today, Tuesday, warned against resilience in the face of the transmission of the emerging corona virus during the summer in the northern hemisphere, and said that this virus is not like the flu, which usually follows seasonal patterns.

"People are still thinking about the seasons issue. What we should all understand is that this is a new virus, and the behavior of this virus is different," WHO spokeswoman Margaret Harris said in an online press briefing from Geneva. She called for caution in applying measures to slow down the infection that spreads across large clusters.

Harris cautioned against thinking about waves of the virus. "It will be one big wave. It will vary somewhat and decrease somewhat, and the best thing to do is to flatten the wave and turn it into something weak that touches your feet," she said.
