He noted that the people of Afghanistan deserve to spend this holiday in peace.

The ambassador also added that he is looking forward to the start of intra-Afghan talks.

Earlier it became known that US Special Representative Zalmay Khalilzad will visit Afghanistan in order to discuss a settlement within the country.
