This was reported on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office.

“The prosecutor of the Srednekolymskiy region ... carried out an inspection on the fact of an oil spill at the diesel power plant of the village of Argakhtakh“ Sakhaenergo ”on June 21 ... Based on the materials of the inspection ... a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 254 of the Criminal Code of Russia (spoilage of land) ", - stated in the statement.

It is noted that during the inspection it turned out that since 1993, that is, for 27 years, no one has examined the corresponding tank either from the outside or from the inside. In addition to criminal liability, Sakhaenergo was administratively punished - fines for 210 thousand rubles were issued.

At the moment, "work has been organized to recover damage to the soil and water body ... in the total amount of over 4.5 million rubles."
