This Tuesday, around 3 p.m., a road accident left four dead and one seriously injured on Route Nationale 2, in the town of Laon, in Aisne, we learned from the prefecture of the department.

In circumstances which will have to be determined by the investigation, four vehicles collided at the Charlemagne college. According to the prefecture, a heavy vehicle, two vans and a car were involved in the accident for a total of ten people.

Four children die in the accident

The car, driven by a woman with four children on board, caught fire. The children all died in the accident. The driver, seriously injured, was helicoptered to the Lille hospital center in an emergency. It is not known whether its vital prognosis is engaged.

Many firefighters and police forces are currently on site. The Minister Delegate for Transport, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, is also expected on the scene around 6 p.m. according to our information.
