July 28, 2020 Matteo Salvini, Antonio Tajani and Giorgia Meloni met in the office of the Northern League senator at the Palazzo dei Spagnoli.According to what has been learned from Forza Italia sources, the three leaders of the center-right have agreed that the coalition will have a "common line" on the budget deviation and on the extension of the state of emergency. The final decision will depend on the commitments the government will make regarding the proposals made.
The outcome of the meeting was also confirmed by Northern League and Fratelli d'Italia sources. The center-right, therefore, will vote compactly on the request for authorization of the budget variance which will be discussed tomorrow in Parliament (for which the votes of the absolute majority of the Chambers are needed). And there should be no differentiation from Forza Italia.
"Our parliamentary groups have been invited to vote on a new budgetary deviation: they are wrong to take our support for granted.
