The council said in a press statement yesterday that the locations of the implementation of the bridges were chosen based on several traffic studies, criteria based on knowledge of the traffic density and movement between the sides of the road, the rates of runaway accidents, the distance to the nearest pedestrian crossing, in addition to their implementation in vital places that include institutions Or commercial centers and markets, as well as follow-up traffic reports received from the relevant authorities.

Traffic statistics showed that run over accidents represented a high percentage of the total traffic accidents in the city during the past six months, and in terms of the spatial distribution of these accidents, the areas of Al Khan, Al Nahda and Al Dhaid Street recorded the highest percentage, compared to other areas in the city.
