Hong Kong's South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on Tuesday that the US-China relationship is at its worst, and that there is a tumult from'unidentified seeds' delivered from China to the United States.

According to the SCMP, at least nine residents in the United States, including Kentucky, Virginia, Utah, Washington, Louisiana, Ohio, and Texas, recently received an unidentified parcel delivered from China.

On the outside of the parcel, the contents were written as jewels, toys, etc., but when the residents opened the parcel, there was an unidentified seed in it.

A resident of Texas received a parcel from Suzhou, China. The package was labeled'necklace' on the outside of the parcel, but when opened, the parcel was said to contain seeds.

He posted a picture of it on Facebook.

Residents of Ohio also said they opened a parcel from Suzhou, China, and found seeds that looked like sunflower seeds.

The state's agricultural authorities have been overwhelmed by the mysterious seeds.

"At present, it is not clear what kind of seeds are in the parcel," said the Louisiana Agricultural Authority. .

The Kentucky Agriculture Authority said in a statement, "We still don't have enough information to help us determine if this is a prank, an internet scam, or some sort of bioterrorism."

The agricultural authorities of each state requested that residents who received seeds from parcels from China report them to the authorities and do not plant seeds in the ground as the identity is still unclear.

SCMP said, "If the relationship between the United States and China is rapidly deteriorating, the incident is causing greater distrust between the two countries."
