Two young people of 19 and 20 were indicted in Bordeaux for having forced Thursday evening, with a third passenger, a police roadblock aboard a car they had just stolen in Pessac, in the Bordeaux metropolis, in expelling the driver, said Sunday the prosecution, who appealed their release under judicial supervision.

The driver, who was driving without a license, is accused of a "refusal to comply aggravated by endangering the lives of others" and "willful violence with a weapon (the vehicle)" on police officers. He is also indicted for the "theft with violence and in a meeting" of the vehicle, like the passenger, detailed the prosecution. The third suspect is still at large.

A police officer, feeling threatened, had used his weapon during this chase which ended in the city center of Bordeaux without incident. There were no injuries.
